Klopps Conundrum


Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has a problem where 5 players have picked up injuries During the international break.

Naby Keita, Salah, Van Dijk, Mane and Milner have picked up injuries looking at liverpools side and condition this does not look to costly. Liverpools next three games come against, Huddersfield, Red star Belgrade and Cardiff.

Liverpool currently sitting 3rd on joint points with Chelsea and Man city who are above i would say they are sitting comfortably eventhough behind on goal diffrence. Players such as Shaqiri, Sturridge,Fabinho and Lallana could be given first team chances on their trip away to Huddersfield.

Injury conditions and  expected returns

Naby Keita injury: (hamstring) Return:N/A


Hamstring injuries normally last 3 weeks this can give the oppurtunity for Fabinho and Henderson to get first team minutues.

Saido Mane injury:(broken thumb) Return: 20th October 

This is football not basketball a broken thumb is a minor injury and Saido Mane should be legible to play the next couple of fixtures.


Virgil Van Dijk Injury: (bruised ribs) Return: 20th October

“The medical staff of the Dutch national team spoke to the medical staff of Liverpool and made the decision that he was playing only the Germany game and then after back to Liverpool. He is ready to play next weekend.”

Mohammed Salah injury: (hamstring) Return: 20th October

On paper Liverpools best player from last season may be season as crucial for the upcoming games.

“Primary diagnosis confirms it is just a strain and no tear is apparent, but the player will need to undergo scans.”

James Milner injury: (hamstring) Return: N/A

The 32 year old has gotten 2 goals and assists managing to start every league game this season.
